KIWANIS CLUB OF

SILVER SPRINGS SHORES

Change Begins With You

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child one community at a time. The organization was founded in Detroit, Michigan in 1915, and is now headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana. The principle core of Kiwanis is the belief that the most effective way to enhance a community is through its children. The Silver Springs Shores Kiwanis Club was sponsored by the Ocala Club and chartered in December of 1980. We impact the lives of children through K-Kids, and Bring Up Grades, elementary school programs that promote self-esteem, builds character and leadership skills. Kiwanis has Builders Club in middle school, Key Club in high school and Circle-K  International at the college level. Other programs include Young Children Priority One, a program with the main objective of meeting the needs of infants and children 0-5 years of age, a college scholarship program for local high school students, and Camp Kiwanis scholarships, a summer camp program for children 7-13  in Marion County . Kiwanis has programs that serve children at every level of development. We believe "One can make a Difference"
